Screen Printing is often seen as a complicated and daunting technique that requires lots of skill and specialist equipment, partly true! However with friendly tuition and support, and the use of all our equipment and materials - we can quickly help you create an edition of prints, get you to a point where you can go off and set yourself up at home, or you are very welcome to keep coming back and using our kit to develope your skills further. ​​​​​​​

PACKAGE 1: BEGINNERS AND REFRESHERS

6 hours of 1-to-1 tuition and support usually spliT Over 2 x 3hr sessions

Package includes:

  • Explanation of the basics of screen printing (with examples).

  • Artworking your idea - or if you don’t have one - generation of an image that you can use.

  • We’ll order in the necessary transparencies and demonstrate how to coat a screen with emulsion.

  • Exposing your screen

  • Choose paper and inks from our available selection

  • Pull a small edition of prints on paper / totes* / t-shirts* / etc

*all materials provided, including apron, screens, emulsion, inks and paper - if you want to print on totes or t-shirts - you will need to provide these.

PACKAGE 2: INTERMEDIate level - top-up sessions

3 x 1 hour TOP-UP SESSIONS TO BOOK AND USE WHEN YOU CHOOSE

Maybe you've completed your beginner's introduction course and want to add another colour or element to your outcome - these 3 hour 'top-up' sessions are perfect to carry on the process.

Purchase these in blocks of 3 x 1 hour slots, to be used as and when agreed.

  • You'll continue to have all the support that you need - although we'll encourage you to start working independently if possible to try and gain confidence.

  • You still have full use of all the equipment and any chemicals/materials/inks etc if available.

  • We can order in any extra resources that you may need for your project for an extra fee.

PACKAGE 3: INDEPENDENT BOOKABLE STUDIO TIME

BOOKABLE 1-Hour studio slots

These bookable 1 hour time slots are intended for the proficient in print that need no real tuition or guidance. Studio manager and technicians will still be here working away in the background and happy to answer any questions - but for the most part - we'll just leave you alone to work independently on whatever your project involves. 

Purchase these in blocks of 3 x 1 hour slots, to be used as and when agreed.

  • We can accommodate sessions on weekends and evenings.

  • You can group your slots together to make larger blocks.

  • You are free to use all our equipment, chemicals and consumables (within reason) large jobs or excessive use and we may ask for a contribution.

  • We can order in any extra resources that you may need for your project (transparencies/inks/papers) for an extra fee.

WOrKSHOP 1: DESIGN AGENCIES - YOUR TERMS / OUR STUDIO

Come to our studio to PRINT your ideas and learn some valuable skills and techniques

Maybe you're a design studio or agency that wants to organise a corporate ‘away day’ to boost motivation, maybe you want to reward some of your employees or encourage them to learn new and relevant skills that can be transferred back to the studio. Using the techniques and skills that you pick up - you can return to your workplace and set yourself up in order to continue the process, create regular in-house prints/merch/totes/tees/zines or maybe you can use screen printing as an extra offering to flesh-out a future client project.

We can tailor these workshops to your needs - get in touch to discuss your requirements and we can assist in making it work for you. Ideally we suggest no more than 5 participants to make sure that you get the best support and tuition possible. Or if you’d rather we came to you… we can do that!

    • Assistance in artworking your designs/concepts in order to get them print-ready before you attend.

    • Transparencies created for screen set-up.

    • Screens coated and processed to a point where they are ready to print.

    • Explanation of the basics of screen printing with examples. As well as demonstrations and explanation of all process prior to attendance (eg: how we artworked the image to print-ready, transparency printing, coating and exposing of the screens, washing out of the screens

    • Full use of all the equipment and any chemicals/materials/inks etc

    • All the support and tuition that you need during the whole process in order to get you to a point where you can pull some ink through screens and come away with a small edition of prints.

    • If your idea involves printing on totes/t-shirts/whatever - We can order in any extra resources that you may need for a specific project.

These workshops need little in the way of resources, as long as you’ve got a few flat surfaces and a nearby source of water - we can make it work.
